S6UC Electric Guitar

The S6UC is a lightweight and gorgeous looking guitar. Ibanez has always been a company that’s willing to make stylistic changes to help create some of the most impressive guitars on the planet. The S6UC Prestige from the S line is a perfect example of this. It has a signature shape that looks beautiful, but it offers far more advantages than just aesthetics. To determine whether this guitar might be a good choice for you or not, it’s important that you look at all of the features that it offers.

What Features Does the S6UC Prestige Offer?

The guitar is durable and responsive, and it is easy to play. Something that many players will truly appreciate about the guitars in the S series line is the fact that even though they use mahogany for the body, they are very lightweight. This makes them easier to play for longer periods without the fear of fatigue. Even though it is lighter in weight, it does not mean that this isn’t a true rock machine.

The guitar has a Super Wizard HP 5-piece maple/walnut neck with KTS Titanium rods for extra durability. The neck also happens to be nice and thin, as is the case with many guitars from Ibanez. This makes it a perfect choice for those who like to shred along the neck when they play. The S6UC Prestige has an imbuia top and mahogany body, an ebony fretboard, and jumbo frets, which has the Prestige fret edge treatment. It also has a Lo-Pro tremolo bridge and two pickups. The neck pickup is a Bare Knuckle Nailbomb (passive/alnico), and the bridge pickup is a Bare Knuckle Nailbomb (passive/alnico). These hardwound pickups from the UK can offer a great range of sound. The S6UC Prestige has a volume and tone control, as well as a 5-way pickup selector.

One of the other things that you might like about the S6UC Prestige is the Dark Mocha finish. It has that beautiful chocolaty appearance that will look great no matter where you play, or even when it’s just sitting on a guitar stand in your house. The color might be right for everyone, but there are other models available with different color finishes.

It is a very fun and comfortable guitar to play and it has the Ibanez name backing it up. It could be a perfect guitar for many players.

Are There Any Cons to the S6UC Prestige?

As with any guitar, there will be some players who don’t like certain features. They may want a different type of tremolo system, or they might prefer a different body design. However, from a quality standpoint, there are really no major flaws or cons with the S6UC Prestige. It’s a quality guitar from a trusted manufacturer. It comes down to personal tastes.

What’s the Overall Opinion?

The look, the sound, and the construction help to make the S6UC Prestige a nice choice for guitar players who want something trustworthy. The fact that it’s lightweight just makes it even better. It might not be for everyone, but most players will appreciate this instrument.
